5 out of 5 starsI had previously ordered items that I loved from the Illuminated Cottage. This time I ordered a custom made night light from the seller. It was for a friend's 80th birthday. I wanted to use garnet, her birthstone and I described to Sue a little bit about her personality and the type of things that usually appealed to her. It was as if Sue had read my mind or actually met my friend. It arrived on time, with the usual beautiful packaging that I have come to expect. My friend was overwhelmed and I am so grateful!!! Trust this seller. She is amazing!!!

5 out of 5 starsQuality: absolutely superb craftsmanship, guys this lady knows what she’s doing. The detail on the shade is astonishing! From the intricate beads and her perfect stitches to the gorgeous lace and velvet interior. It’s hard to find REAL quality in the artistry of decor but Suz must have magical hands. This lamp was the last and only thing I needed to tie my bedroom together and her work is 100% worth the price. You cant find uniqueness in detail like this anymore these days. Item description: everything is good, don’t forget these are only specifically lamp shades. The only help I needed was asking Suz what size harp she used and she responded quickly and adamantly. Expectations: exceeded!!!! The packaging was so thoughtful and careful it brought a big great smile on my face. It arrived in absolutely perfect condition!

Custom and personalized orders
Will I do a custom order? Yes! Here's a few details:
FRAME Selection: Please check out the current frame selection in the shop. If you don’t see what you want, I have a full catalog to choose from.
FABRIC OPTIONS: I source fabrics from all over. OR if you have a fabric, it might work.
PROCESS: Photos of fabrics are sent through Etsy till chosen. Monitors can be different.
PRICE: As a ballpark, the price listed with the frames is the starting average price for this size and shape.
DEPOSIT: Final price is determined and 50% required up front before I start sewing.
TIMING: varies depending on the fabric/trim availability. We can work that out once the details are approved.
COUPONS: Are never used for custom work...ever.

Gift wrapping and packaging
Will I gift wrap?
My packaging is all to UPS standards. Every item is carefully packed with lots of protection in a nice clean box that is ready to be gift wrapped at your end. But I’m happy to include any gift message inside that you request.
Care instructions
How best to care for my new creation?
Fabric Lampshades and Nightlights – these only need a light dusting with a clean brush- like a make up brush or feather duster. It's a good idea to do this often.
Cages and centerpieces should be lightly dusted when they are on display and then packed away carefully for the next season.
SHIPPING COSTS
What are the shipping costs?
I use UPS always. At this time, the shipping for domestic and Canadian orders for anything over $35.00 is included. I include insurance on anything over $100.00

What kind of Light bulbs should I use?
The right bulb depends on the look you want. Warm or cool tones. I use LED bulbs in photography to get the clearest view of the fabrics and trims. These are the best for fabric shades. I include an LED bulb in each nightlight as well.
What discounts or coupons do you offer and what are they good on?
Coupons are good for all finished products. My mailing list and previous buyers are the ones who receive these coupons. They cannot be used for a custom order.
